Slam Rotation ( as of 3.0.2 )

Post  Iceforged on Fri Oct 31, 2008 11:47 am

Hey guys....im posting a rotation that i am using currently. It is for Slam-speced Arms Warriors only. Using this rotation i can deal near 1300 dps and in some multi-mob pulls 1800.

Swing - Slam - Mortal Strike

Swing - Slam - Rend

Swing - Slam - Mortal Strike/Overpower**

Swing - Slam - Bladestorm/Execute* ( for single-target, Execute. for multi-mob trash, Bladestorm )

Basically keep hitting Overpower and Execute as they come up, unless its a trash pull, where u Bladestorm.

Asterisks mean priority. For example in the 3rd set of moves, Overpower has the priority over MS if it procs up due to Rend. By the 4th rotation, tank should have solid aggro and u can Bladestorm away. Or, if Bladestorm is on cooldown and if you have Tactical Mastery, jump to zerker stance and WW. If you don't have Tactical Mastery don't bother.

Now i believe that being a warrior means u must be comfortable with a rotation and if needed, tweak, modify popular/effective rotations to your OWN liking.

Now as for the spec im using with the rotation,

I don't think alot of that is neccisary:P getting the talent for slam doesn't mean you have to use it...Arms right now (and was more-so before the patch that fixed sudden death) was all revolved around hitting as much as possible, and critting as much as possible... So with that information you'll want to go berserker stance and change overpower out with WW, WW= more hits. more hits=more chance to crit....

with all that said a good TG can do just as much damage by hitting about 4 buttons over and over lol!

WW

But what types of hits and crits do you get out of WW? I haven't used it myself, but I know I used to like the numbers I'd see from a good overpower or slam. Made me wish I took more time earlier in my WOW career when I actually raided Arms to learn more about it.

Now my opinion changes when I'm facing multiple mobs. Then I go for all the AoE moves I can.

Later!

note that the previous Slam Rotation post was for 3.0.2 patch at lvl 70 but now Wrath has come and i am going to make a whole new Arms PvE dps post due to changes in Wrath, and further thinking and playing.
